Senior Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation)

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer with a balanced background in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of modern web-based applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle, combining hands-on exploratory testing with automated test solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform manual testing activities including functional, regression, integration, API, and UI testing for web applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Identify, analyze, document, and track defects with detailed reproduction steps and root cause insights.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Validate backend data integrity and conduct database testing using SQL queries.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and design reviews to provide quality-focused recommendations.
• Continuously improve QA processes, testing frameworks, automation coverage, and release quality standards.
• Support CI/CD and release validation activities to ensure stable deployments.

Who We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a combination of manual and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management practices.
• Hands-on experience in testing web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Experience building or maintaining automation test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience testing PHP-based applications following MVC architecture is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server for backend validation and database testing.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in agile teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or compliance-driven environments.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in remote or distributed teams.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Familiarity with QA and defect management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
