Senior Quality Engineer (Manual & Automation)
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer with a balanced background in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of modern web-based applications. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality throughout the software development lifecycle, combining hands-on exploratory testing with automated test solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform manual testing activities including functional, regression, integration, API, and UI testing for web applications.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Identify, analyze, document, and track defects with detailed reproduction steps and root cause insights.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Validate backend data integrity and conduct database testing using SQL queries.
- Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and design reviews to provide quality-focused recommendations.
- Continuously improve QA processes, testing frameworks, automation coverage, and release quality standards.
- Support CI/CD and release validation activities to ensure stable deployments.
Who We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a combination of manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management practices.
- Hands-on experience in testing web applications and RESTful APIs.
- Experience building or maintaining automation test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience testing PHP-based applications following MVC architecture is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server for backend validation and database testing.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in agile teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or compliance-driven environments.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
- Experience working in remote or distributed teams.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
- Familiarity with QA and defect management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms.
