Senior Manual Quality Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Manual Quality Control Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of web-based applications across complex business workflows. You will play a critical role in validating functionality, identifying defects, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing for web applications.
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and detailed analysis.
- Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Validate backend data integrity and perform database-related testing using SQL queries.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused feedback during development phases.
- Ensure releases meet defined quality standards before deployment.
- Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and testing documentation.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in manual testing for web applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect management practices.
- Experience testing PHP-based applications following MVC architecture.
- Good knowledge of SQL Server for backend validation and data verification.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare or compliance-driven environments.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
- Experience working in remote or distributed teams.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks.
- Familiarity with QA and defect management tools such as Jira or TestRail.
