Manual QC Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support validation activities for a critical codebase merge initiative, ensuring functional consistency across markets and enabling a safe and stable rollout within the existing technology stack. This role focuses on end-to-end functional validation, regression assurance, and close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams throughout implementation and release phases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, prepare, and execute manual test cases to validate merged features and system behavior.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure feature parity across country-specific implementations.
  • Validate feature flags, configuration changes, and data migration outcomes during merge activities.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Developers to clarify requirements, expected behaviors, and edge cases.
  • Identify, document, and track defects while supporting root cause analysis and resolution verification.
  • Ensure testing readiness aligned with release timelines and deployment activities.
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable to improve validation efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in manual testing for web-based applications.
  • Experience testing database-driven systems, including data validation and backend verification.
  • Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle, regression testing, and defect management processes.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in Agile or fast-paced delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Exposure to test automation tools or scripting (nice to have).
  • Experience working on system migration, platform consolidation, or large feature integration projects.
  • Familiarity with feature flag testing or release validation processes.
