About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development, optimization, and modernization of enterprise web applications. In this role, you will work on scalable backend systems, support migration initiatives, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-performing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP 7.4 and modern development practices.
  • Implement scalable and maintainable solutions following MVC architecture principles.
  • Develop and optimize database queries and data structures using SQL Server to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Build responsive and user-friendly frontend components using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end features.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, debug applications, and improve system performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and technical improvements.
  • Support migration, refactoring, and modernization initiatives where required.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of professional experience in software development with strong expertise in PHP 7.4.
  • Solid experience working with MVC-based application architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and maintainable code design.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in healthcare or highly regulated domains.
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working in remote or distributed teams.
  • Ability to work independently with strong ownership and self-management skills.
