QC Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and execute both automated (C# or Java) and manual test cases for backend microservices and APIs.
  • Build and maintain different types of tests: unit, API, integration, end-to-end, regression, and exploratory.
  • Perform manual and non-functional testing when needed (usability, performance, security, etc.).
  • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and the scrum team to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs; collaborate with the team to resolve issues.
  • Provide feedback from a user’s perspective to improve product quality.
  • Participate in sprint planning and Agile meetings, sharing updates on testing progress.
  • Research and suggest new tools, methods, or improvements for testing and quality.

Requirements

Must Have

  • Experience in both manual and automated testing (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar).
  • Solid skills in API, unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Able to write clear test cases, bug reports, and SQL scripts.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), especially Agile.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confident, proactive, and good at problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Nice to Have

  • Can read and discuss C# or Java code with developers.
  • Experience with non-functional testing (performance, resilience, security).
  • Experience with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, code commits, and code reviews.

Soft Skills

  • Good spoken English for meetings.
  • Able to manage tasks and switch between them.
  • Handles stress well and stays positive.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.
