WordPress Engineer (Remote)

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
• Have knowledge of custom plugin/theme development.
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Git and Git Flow.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React (preferred).
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, agile team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to build and deliver WordPress solutions.
• Develop and maintain WooCommerce-powered e-commerce websites with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable PHP code.
• Build and enhance custom themes and plugins tailored to project requirements.
• Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility using HTML/CSS and modern frameworks.
• Implement best practices for WordPress security, SEO, and performance optimization.
• Manage version control and code collaboration using Git (Git Flow).
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the stack.
• Participate in Agile development processes and team planning sessions.
• Embrace continuous learning and contribute innovative ideas to improve product quality.
