Quality Control Engineer

Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications.
- Perform functional testing, including API testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression tests, and carry out non-functional testing.
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, and scrum teams to ensure thorough understanding and coverage of testing requirements.
- Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with the team to resolve issues.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Fitnesse.
- Collaborate closely as part of the development team by providing a client viewpoint.
- Actively participate in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies, providing insights into quality and testing progress.
- Research new technologies available and its proper application; make suggestions/contributions for the improvement of software testing/quality.
Requirements
Must have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software QA/QC testing.
- At least 6 months in software automation using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Fitnesse.
- Experience with API testing, SQL databases, and integration testing.
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and test-driven development, especially in Agile environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- A confident and dynamic attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Non-functional testing such as Performance testing, Resilience testing, Security testing.
- Experience with Microservice testing, Shift Left testing.
- Experience with APM tools such as Datadog and AppInsight.
- Experience with CI/CD, Azure, C#.
- ISTQB Certificate.
