Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: Lead core Scrum ceremonies with precision, ensuring they are effective and contribute to the team's agility and delivery momentum.
  • Promote product empowerment: Guide the team towards a product-centric approach, ensuring collective ownership and decision-making, avoiding dependency on single points of failure.
  • Align focus with strategy: Ensure the team's efforts are strategically aligned with the product and engineering goals, focusing on the most impactful problems.
  • Guide OKRs: Align user stories with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring the team's work directly contributes to broader organizational objectives.
  • Boost collaboration: Serve as a linchpin for team collaboration, leveraging tools and practices that enable seamless teamwork across geographical boundaries.
  • Co-create deliverables: Lead the collaborative development of user stories and epics ensuring engagement from all team members and stakeholders for rich feature descriptions.
  • Enhance communication: Establish robust communication channels for clear, effective interaction between the team in Vietnam and stakeholders in Australia, ensuring no information is lost in translation.
  • Manage dependencies: Identify and manage dependencies between tasks and teams efficiently, ensuring optimal flow.
  • Resolve impediments: Actively work with the team to identify and remove obstacles, facilitating a clear path to success.
  • Sustain delivery pace: Work with the team to maintain a predictable, sustainable pace of delivery, balancing workload and quality.
  • Maintain Jira hygiene: Oversee Jira system hygiene, ensuring it's well-organized and up to date, facilitating smooth project tracking and management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience as a Scrum Master with a strong focus on Agile principles.
  • Exceptional communicator, bridging teams and stakeholders, effective in remote settings.
  • Facilitates strong team and inter-team collaboration, enhancing teamwork.
  • Skilled problem-solver, swiftly identifying and addressing team impediments.
  • Adapts to changing priorities and needs, maintaining team focus.
  • Promotes a product-focused team approach, aligning with vision and value.
  • Demonstrated leadership, guiding Agile journeys, and fostering continuous improvement.
